Acai Uses and Pharmacology
The acai fractions can be used to reduce the proliferation of HL-60 leukemia cells containing polyphenolic compounds. The action of this medication is associated with poyphenolic and polytochemicals. It is also used as an anti inflammatory and antioxidant in vitro.
The lipopolysaccharide and interferon gamma can be extracted by the Acai in cell line with nitric oxide. The nitric oxide synthase can be activated by the overproduction of the nitric oxide which can lead to the inflammatory processes. This mechanism is associated with the inhibition of the nitric oxide. The seeds of the acai can have stronger effect of antioxidant against peroxynitrite and hydroxyl radicals.
Digestive enzyme inhibition can also be made with proteins of acai fruit in vitro. It can be used in the treatment of the enlarged prostate as well.
